Ozzy seeks new guitarist

Osbourne announced on Friday (August 12) that this year's Ozzfest would be his last as a headliner, either with BLACK SABBATH or as a solo performer. In a statement, Osbourne revealed that Ozzfest would return in 2006, but that Osbourne would limit his performances to only a few selected cities.

Ozzy's last release as a solo artist was the "Prince of Darkness" box set, which was recently certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of 125,000 copies (multi-disc albums get counted once for each disc within the album; regular gold certification occurs at 500,000 copies).

Ozzy's "best of" collection, "The Essential Ozzy Osbourne", has sold 416,000 copies in the United States since its February 2003 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

shouldn't that statment read Ozzy needs a new guitarist to rehash the godlike riffs of the almighty Randy Rhoads, cause if you listen to Zakk or Jake E Lee's stuff the riffs are, in places, note for note
